This project involved the construction of a new Diabetes Day Centre on the site of Sligo University Hospital, a single storey stand-alone structure on an elevated site with beautiful views of Benbulben mountain in the distance. The building caters for the needs of the paediatric and adult diabetes services in Sligo. Architecturally the massing of the building has been broken down through the use of colour, the changing parapet height and through extrusions and recesses in the rendered façade.
